Meet Ritu

Ritu Belani is a Stanford student by day, stand-up comedian by night. Her comedy is a refreshing blend of universal truths and savvy insights, connecting with audiences across all backgrounds. Ritu’s brand of comedy has earned her spots everywhere from Rooster T Feathers and Toronto’s Yuk Yuk’s, to opening for Zarna Garg. She is also the founder of Stand-Up, D, Stanford’s premier comedy club, and At the Intersection, an NPR-featured open mic series.

In the summer of 2024, Ritu debuted her solo headliner show, Stanford Bound: Surviving the College Apps Chaos with Humor. She toured the show across the Bay Area, Seattle, and Barcelona, entertaining and saving attendees thousands in college (and family) counseling. In the summer of 2025, Ritu expanded into corporate comedy, performing for Astera Labs’ Early Professionals group and earning stellar reviews from executives, who invited her to perform for the entire company. Ritu’s versatile style has also made her a natural fit to MC a wide range of community events including a civic education fair, Hispanic cultural festival, and mosque comedy night.

When she’s not on stage, you can find Ritu at Costco.
